vorchunnОтыскал-таки сайт Брюса Бетке (Bruce Bethke), автора незабываемого "Интерфейсом об тэйбл" (Headcrash, 1995), награжденного "Philip K. Dick Award".
А там вот что написано:

This title is included because so many people continue to ask about it. Yes, I did write a sequel to Headcrash - and if I have any control over it, this book will never see the light of day. HC2.0 was written in the interstices between the funerals of several good friends and close relatives, a handful of court dates, and a series of excruciatingly awful visits to a dearly beloved person who was on the bad side of the unbreakable glass in the locked ward of a psychiatric hospital.
Comedy is a strange thing. Sometimes it's possible for a writer to take pain, distill it, and produce a tasty flagon of black humor. Other times, you just end up with an angry spew of bile and venom, and the world doesn't need any more of those."
